LibraryHere on our 260-acre campus in historic Newport News, Virginia, you'll find boundless energy and magnificent facilities few schools can rival - including a new library, an arts center designed by the firm of internationally renowned architect I.M. Pei, and best-in-class residence halls students tell us they miss when they leave.

Next door is a peaceful, 550-acre woodland park that houses the Mariners' Museum (new window), one of the world's largest maritime history museums.

CNU is located in the heart of one the nation’s most historic - and beautiful - areas. Just a short drive away are significant historic sites, such as Colonial Williamsburg, and great beaches on the Virginia coast. (each link below opens a new window)

  • Colonial Williamsburg,  just 20 minutes away, is the nation's largest outdoor living history museum. Pre-Revolutionary times come alive through reconstructed homes, stores, and taverns populated by interpreters and actors.
  • Virginia Beach offers world-class beaches, great water sports, and a rich nightlife - just 45 minutes from campus.
  • Norfolk, the Mid-Atlantic region's most dynamic and progressive cultural center, is 30 minutes from CNU. With a sparkling downtown waterfront and a proud maritime heritage, Norfolk was recently dubbed a "cultural center of note" by The New York Times.
Catch the Spirit of CNU at a Saturday Open House!

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions would like to invite you to one of our Open House events. Come see for yourself why CNU is one of the "hottest schools" in Virginia.  During Open House you will:

  • Take a tour of our beautiful campus.
  • Meet CNU President, Paul S. Trible.
  • Gather information about Financial Aid, Housing, Athletics, Dining Services and much more during the Student Services Showcase.
  • Meet accomplished faculty from various academic departments.
  • Get to know a current CNU student.
Join us on campus for an information session and a campus tour. These sessions last two hours and provide valuable insights into the CNU community. Your visit begins with a presentation by a knowledgeable Admissions Officer, followed by a student guided tour of our campus. You will enjoy seeing the brand new Trible Library, the beautiful David Student Union, our dazzling residence halls and much more!
