About CNU
Newport News
The city of Newport News is a great place to live, study, and play.

You can immerse yourself in history here: the city dates back to the founding of America, and boasts numerous historic homes, battle sites, and monuments. You can commune with the great outdoors: the city encompasses 18 public parks; more than 30 miles of biking and hiking trails; gorgeous sunsets over the James River; and some of the best fishing, boating, and sailing on the East Coast.

You’ll also find plenty of entertainment and culture: the city’s rich nightlife ranges from theater groups and the Virginia Symphony to comedy clubs and first-run movie theaters. You’ll eat well, too: restaurants range from Thai to Tex-Mex to American, and there’s something for every budget.
