CNU has been deemed one of the top 10 "Up and Coming" liberal arts institutions by U.S. News & World Report, and Forbes.com recently ranked CNU in the top 15 percent of the nation's undergraduate institutions. Such national recognition is a testament to how far Christopher Newport has come in its short history.
Your support helps make such recognition possible and promotes our commitment to the principles of liberal learning, service and leadership. Through your generosity, we will continue improving our academic programs and facilities, providing scholarships and experiential learning opportunities, and building a stellar campus.
Our incoming freshmen have gained admission to many of the country’s top schools. Thanks to the generosity of our alumni and parents, corporations, foundations, and our many friends, we are able to attract such high-caliber students with numerous merit-based scholarships.
CNU also continues to make capital improvements, for which your support is greatly needed and appreciated. In the next several years, CNU will complete more than $500 million in new construction, to include an integrated science center, a new home for the Luter School of Business, an expansion of The Freeman Center sports and convocation facility, and additional residence hall space.
