Peer Advising Program

 Opportunity...

"We make a life by what we give." ~ Winston Churchill

The CNU Peer Advising Program exists to...

  • Assist undeclared freshman students as they transition to CNU by providing timely reminders of up to date academic information, as well as opportunities to foster interaction and contact with fellow students.

  • Support the University mission by providing a quality experience for the students who serve as peer advisors by giving them opportunities to enhance their communication, planning, and leadership skills as well as helping them to understand the value of service.

In General, a Peer Advisor...

  • Supports the University by being an advocate who helps students obtain accurate information regarding policies, procedures, and requirements.

  • Contributes to a friendly and helpful atmosphere.

  • Demonstrates professional courtesy and respect toward administrators, faculty, staff and students.

  • Ensures that all information conveyed by them to students is current and accurate.

  • Serves as a role model in the areas of academic achievement and leadership in order to effectively assist undeclared freshmen students.
