Football Ranked 23rd In D3football.com Preseason Poll

STERLING, VA - Christopher Newport's football team is ranked 23rd in the d3football.com's preseason poll released this week.

The Captains will open the season at home on Sept. 1 against 10th-ranked Rowan before traveling to No. 4 Mary Hardin-Baylor on Sept. 8.

CNU finished 8-3 in 2006 where they fell to Washington & Jefferson at home in the first round of the playoffs, 27-23.
