Football Leaps To 12th In Latest D3football.com Top 25 Poll

STERLING, VA - Christopher Newport's football team, fresh off a 23-17 win over No. 10 Rowan, moved up 11 spots to No. 12 in this week's d3football.com top 25 poll released Sunday evening.

The Captains came in ranked 23rd in the nation in the preseason poll and defeated Rowan for the first time in six total tries. CNU also improved to 25-8 at POMOCO Stadium since the program began in 2001.

Christopher Newport heads to Belton, TX this coming Saturday where they will take on No. 4 Mary Hardin-Baylor at 7 pm eastern time.
