Men's Soccer Downs Mary Washington 2-1 In Overtime

FREDERICKSBURG, VA - Galen Small's goal in the 96th minute gave the CNU men's soccer team a 2-1 overtime victory at Mary Washington Wednesday afternoon.

UMW took an early lead in the 8th minute on Ben Smith's goal.

The Captains tied the score when Matt Page found the back of the net unassisted in the 16th minute.

Small's goal gave CNU its 10th win and the ninth straight double digit win total under Head Coach Steve Shaw.

Mary Washington out shot the Captains 18-11. Brian Shumate had four saves in goal.

CNU is now 10-5-2 overall. The Captains conclude the 2004 season this Saturday as they travel to the USA South's number one team NC Wesleyan with kick-off set for 1 pm.
