Men's Tennis Downs Ferrum, 7-0

NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Christopher Newport's men's tennis team defeated Ferrum 7-0 Saturday afternoon on the CNU Courts.

In doubles action, Eddie Glidewell and John Mook (CNU) defeated Matt Brantley and Paul Matthews
8-2 at number one; Steven Inge and Worth Richardson (CNU) defeated Erich Trier and David 
Gartrell 8-1;and Matt Brueggemann and Adam Peters (CNU) defeated Thomas James and Kevin Board 8-0 at number three.

In singles action, Glidewell (CNU) defeated Brantley 6-2, 6-2; Mook (CNU) defeated Trier 6-0, 6-1 at number two; Inge (CNU) defeated Matthews 6-4, 6-3; Richardson (CNU) defeated Gartrell 6-0, 6-0 at number four; Brueggemann (CNU) defeated James 6-2, 6-1; and Peters (CNU) defeated Board 6-0, 6-1 at number six.

The Captains are now 7-2 overall and 3-0 in USA South action. CNU returns to action on March 29 when they host Hampden-Sydney on the CNU Courts with start time set for 3 pm.
