The Marlins, one of the ODAC's best teams, fell to 11-3. CNU improved to 10-5 heading into its last four regular-season matches, all on the road, beginning with NC Wesleyan on Friday at 10 am and Oglethorpe (at Methodist) at 4 pm.

Weiner, the team's only senior, playing his final home match, teamed with Young for an 8-2 doubles
victory at No. 3, then earned the day's first singles triumph by defeating Popomaronis 6-3, 6-2 to tie the match at 2.

VWC won the top two doubles matches, including a 9-7 thriller by Caudill and Zenisek over Glidewell and
Mook. As the match neared the three-hour mark, CNU went ahead 4-2 as Young (No. 4) and Mook (No. 2)
earned competitive victories in straight sets. Mook rallied from a service break behind in the first set to defeat Zenisek.

The Marlins briefly pulled even at 4 on three-set triumphs by Wright over Braig at No. 3 and by Caudill
against Glidewell at No. 1. But within a couple of minutes of the Marlins forcing a 4-4 tie, Myers, already having made his comeback from a one-set deficit, completed a 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory over Barnes for the clinching victory at No. 5.
