Women's Tennis Ranked 14th, Pantele 20th, Leblang And Pantele 15th

SKILLMAN, NJ - Christopher Newport's women's tennis dropped one spot to 14th in the Atlantic South Regional rankings released last week while Lindsey Pantele moved to 20th and Pantele and Stefanie Leblang are ranked 15th in doubles.

The Lady Captains finished the year 21-1 and began the year winning 21 straight matches, setting a school record for consecutive wins and wins in a season.

Pantele jumped 13 spots to No. 20 in the final rankings of the spring season. Pantele was 33rd and finished 18-3 at No. 1 singles. She was a First Team All-USA South choice and she was also named to the USA South's All-Tournament squad.

In doubles, Pantele and Leblang moved up five spots to 15th. The duo went undefeated at No. 1 doubles, finishing the year with a 21-0 record.
