FOOTBALL SEASON TICKETS NOW ON SALE

NEWPORT NEWS, VA- Season tickets for the 2003 Christopher Newport football season are now on sale. The Captains, who have advanced to the NCAA Tournament the last two years, will begin the third season of CNU football on September 6^th at Rowan University (NJ). Christopher Newport’s home opener will be on September 20^th against Muhlenberg.

Matt Kelchner’s squad will face a grueling non-conference schedule the first four weeks and then play six games in the recently re-named USA South Athletic Conference.

Christopher Newport has won or tied for the title the last two years in the Dixie Conference, which this year becomes the USA South.

Season tickets will include a total of five home games, two in September and three in October. The home opener against Muhlenberg will be a part of Family Weekend proceedings. CNU’s Homecoming game will take place on October 25^th against Methodist.

The Captains will also host Bridgewater on September 27^th, Shenandoah on October 4^th and Chowan on October 18^th . All home games will be played at POMOCO Stadium on the Christopher Newport campus and will start at 1 pm.

Individual game tickets will go on sale on September 15^th, the Monday prior to the home opener.
