WOMEN’S SOCCER DEFEATS BRIDGEWATER 3-1

BRIDGEWATER, VA – CNU’s women’s soccer team traveled to Bridgewater College Wednesday afternoon and came away with a 3-1 victory.

The Lady Captains scored all three of its goals in the first half en route to the win. CNU got goals from Shelley Rusnak assisted by Heidi Taylor. Natalie Stallings scored the second goal unassisted. Ashleigh Dota capped the Lady Captain scoring off near the end of the first half with Melisa Davis getting the assist.

Sarah Fortier had one save in goal as CNU out shot Bridgewater 32-3.

The Lady Captains are now 2-1 overall and host Salisbury this Saturday at 1 pm at Captains Field.
