WOMEN’S SOCCER DOWNS METHODIS 2-0

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – CNU’s women’s soccer squad traveled to Methodist Saturday afternoon and defeated the Lady Monarchs 2-0.

The Lady Captains scored two second half goals en route to the win.

Natalie Stallings started the scoring off with 32:37 left in the second half with the assist going to Ashleigh Dota. Lindsay Lee added an insurance goal just one minute off a pass from Ashley Godfrey.

Carola Riegner had 10 saves in goal.

CNU is now 8-2-1 overall and 4-0 in the Dixie Conference.

The Lady Captains return to action on October 8 as they travel to Eastern Mennonite with start time set for 4 pm.
