FIVE PLAYERS SCORE AS WOMEN’S SOCCER BEATS SHENANDOAH, 5-1

WINCHESTER, Va. – Five different players got into the scoring act as the women’s soccer team defeated Shenandoah, 5-1, Friday afternoon.

Heather Vance, Amy Petko, Laura McFerrin, Sabrina Kirkley and Jen Callway all had goals, while Rosie Russo recorded two assists and Petko and Shelley Rusnak had one each.

The Captains improved to 9-2 on the year and 4-0 in Dixie Conference play. They host Roanoke, ranked No. 10 in the South Region, Sunday at 2:00. CNU is No. 8 in the South.
