Vice President – Cox Business Services As Vice President at Cox Communications, Michael (Mike) Braham provides the strategic vision, sales leadership and management for business-to-business sales for Cox Business, Southern Virginia– the flagship among all Cox Communications commercial services nationwide.Mike joined Cox and the Hampton Roads community in 2005, bringing broad leadership background and perspective to his role. Mike began his career as a Marine Corps Officer and Harrier jet pilot. Mike transitioned to the private sector in 1991 and entered the telecommunications industry. Spending five years with Bell Atlantic, he later moved to Genuity where he served as Vice President, North American Channel Sales. There he led the company’s nationwide team of E-Business/Internet sales professionals. Mike has also held executive positions as Senior Vice President for Marsh and McLennan in Washington, DC. where he served as Chief Marketing Officer for Marsh Crisis Consulting, and Ambassador L. Paul Bremer (appointed as Administrator of Iraq by President Bush) and in the Crisis Management Industry was the President of an international security firm where he prepared for and responded to incidents around the world including the Tsunami in Sri Lanka. Over the last two years Mike has evangelized cable’s role in healthcare in numerous industry publications, newspapers and media outlets including Xchange Magazine, NCTA’s Broadband Nation in 2009 and Healthcare Panel in 2010. Mike has been hosting CBTV, a TV program for Business Leaders on Channel 11 in Hampton Roads since 2009. (www.Cox11.com/cbtv). Mike holds a Bachelor of Science from George Mason University and currently serves on the Boards of Technology Hampton Roads, Virginia Air and Space Museum, USO, Young Life of Chesapeake and the Board of Advisors for the Luter School of Business at Christopher Newport University. Mike and his wife, Lisa, live in Chesapeake and have two children.
