Profile:  The 2011/20012 academic year marks Dr. Clayton’s third year in the Luter School of Business as an Assistant Professor of Marketing.  Prior to joining academia he worked for nearly a decade in large advertising agencies working on national advertising and direct marketing campaigns for Chevrolet, Dodge and Michelin. His professional experience includes time in account management and account planning.  Dr. Clayton teaches courses in marketing management, consumer research, and creative approaches to direct and interactive marketing.  He has received awards for excellence in teaching and has research published in the Journal of Marketing Education and Journal of Brand and Product Management.
