Profile: The 2011/20012 academic year marks Dr. Hettche’s third year in the Luter School of Business as an Assistant Professor of Marketing.  Prior to CNU, he held academic appointments at Auburn University (from 2004 to 2008) and Virginia Tech (2008-2009).  Dr. Hettche’s primary areas of expertise are digital marketing and marketing ethics.  He has received awards for excellence in teaching and research and most recently he has worked on research projects that include social media marketing, nonprofit advertising, and social marketing as it relates to substance abuse and illicit drugs.  He is a regular contributor to both the DMEF (Direct Marketing Educational Foundation) and AMA (American Marketing Association).  In the classroom, Dr. Hettche aims to create a hands-on learning environment where students are encouraged to examine, practice, and apply the techniques of marketing to their own lives and future careers.
