Michael E. Melo is the President and CEO of ITA-International, LLC. ITA International is a global support services company with a focus on the maritime and coastal environment. Services provided by ITA include analysis, planning, training, security, marine services, logistics, and minor construction projects. ITA International was ranked as the fastest growing company in Virginia in 2009 and among the fastest growing private companies in the nation. Prior to founding ITA International in 2003, Mr. Melo served on active duty in the Navy for over 23 years as a Surface Warfare Officer and retired in November 2002. After leaving the Navy, he served as the Director of the Troops to Teachers (TTT) Program for the Commonwealth of Virginia. In 2010, Mr. Melo was appointed to Virginia Governor's Economic Development and Jobs Creation Commision.
