In addition to providing meals throughout the week, our Dining Services team works in
conjunction with various other University Departments to host extraordinarily special events for our faculty,
staff, students, and University guests. From Student Dessert Receptions at the President's House to CNU
Football Tailgates, our team takes special pride in making sure every event is an exceptional experience.
Some of Our Special Events
Admitted Freshman Picnic
To welcome our newest students, Dining Services works with the Admissions Office to provide a fun
and exciting picnic for over 1500 guests every Spring. New students have the opportunity to meet other
students, faculty, and staff while enjoying BBQ sandwiches, veggie or hamburgers, brownies, and cold
drinks.
Student Dessert Receptions
These receptions are an unique opportunity for students to meet our University's President, the
honorable Paul S. Trible Jr., and his wife Rosemary. Students are treated to an elegant evening with the
President while enjoying some decadent desserts such as the ever- popular chocolate fountain.
Faculty/Staff Appreciation Picnic
In perfect harmony with the Biology Department, Dining Services hosts an annual faculty/staff picnic
to give something back to all those who help make this University such a great place to work and learn. Staff
members and their families are encouraged to come out and enjoy some freshly baked cooked pork BBQ
sandwiches under the sun with friends and coworkers.
