Jackie Roquemore has served as assistant director of the Center for Wetland Conservation since 2008. Jackie holds a BS in biology and psychology from the College of William & Mary and earned her MS in environmental science from CNU. Prior to joining CWC Jackie worked in water quality analysis and both formal and nonformal science education. Her education and work experience combined with strong organizational and interpersonal skills make her a great asset to CWC.

Dr. Robert Atkinson  is the founder and director of the Center for Wetland Conservation. He is a committed educator with experience as a high school teacher, designer of wetland curricula for state and federal agencies, leader of professional development opportunities for teachers, and a CNU faculty member since 1995. He is a tenured professor of biology and a Professional Wetland Scientist certified by the Society of Wetland Scientists. His research is restoration-focused and his 40th peer-reviewed scientific publication was recently published in Wetlands. Dr. Atkinson has closely involved both undergraduate and graduate students in research since his first years at CNU resulting in dozens of student-authored conference presentations.
