Support Higher Education
In the next several weeks, the Virginia General Assembly will consider proposals by both Governor Warner and Senator John Chichester that provide additional funding for higher education. CNU and all Virginia colleges and universities need your help. Please consider writing your legislator to support higher education. Find your Legislator.

The President's Leadership Program is leading a campus-wide effort to raise $16,250 as part of a partnership with other community organizations to build a Habitat for Humanity house for a local Hampton Roads family.   Students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to participate in all aspects of the project from fundraising and donations to the actual construction. For more information, please contact the PLP office at (757) 594-7207.

Vice President for University Advancement Leaves CNU
Jack Sims, Vice President for University Advancement, has accepted a position as Vice President for College Advancement at Virginia Wesleyan College and will be leaving CNU on February 23. During Sims' successful 4 1/2-year tenure at CNU, the $54-million campaign for the Center for the Arts was completed and the overall advancement program has been strengthened considerably. We appreciate his many contributions at CNU and wish him well in his new endeavor. The process to initiate a national search for his replacement has begun. Norma Brown, Assistant Vice President for University Advancement, has been appointed Interim Vice President.
