Classes started on January 23 and will end Friday, April 13 (skip March 5 - 9 for Spring Break). They will be held in the Trieshmann Health and Fitness Pavilion in The Freeman Center (Multipurpose Rooms #1 and #2)
Be sure to take a look at both Fitness Schedule tabs (MPR #1 and MPR #2) for ALL the class options! There are classes going on at the same time, so you can pick and choose what you prefer.
Simply purchase your fitness pass and bring it with you to the class(es) you plan to attend.
Fitness Pass
The Fitness Pass allows you access to ALL the classes on the fitness schedule for the entire Fall semester! The pass is $35 and may be purchased from the Trieshmann Health and Fitness Pavilion Welcome Desk in The Freeman Center. Payment may be made with Captains Cash, cash, check, MasterCard or VISA. If you decide not to purchase a pass, you are welcome to "drop in" on any class for a $5 fee.
ABS: Abs, back and stretch. A concentrated toning class for the abs and back, followed by a stretch.
BLT: Buttocks, legs and thighs. A lower body toning workout with various resistance equipment (hand weights, barbells/body bars, resistance bands and stability balls).
Boot Camp: An energetic cardio and strength training class. No tricky choreography, just effective interval, sports and weight training exercises. Burn calories in a focused, efficient and challenging way! All fitness levels are welcome; however, “Boot Camp” isn’t designed for every exerciser. Be prepared to be motivated!
Body Sculpt: Total body toning utilizing hand weights, barbells/body bars, stability balls and more! Followed by a relaxing stretch.
Cardio Kick N Punch: Kick, punch and crunch your stress away! Easy-to-follow movements along with a cool down, abs and final stretch.
Cycling: A fun and challenging way to exercise on a stationary bike! Features varying speeds and intensities. Ends with a cool down and stretch. Reservations are required (except during the Fitness Kickoff week when it is first-come, first-served). Friday Fitness Free-for-All: Celebrate the weekend by coming to fun, energizing fitness classes! A different class will be offered each week. Email announcements will be sent each week describing the class to be offered. A fitness class pass is not required, but you must be a CNU student, faculty, staff or Freeman Center member to attend.
Pilates: (pronounced pul-LAH-teez) A series of strengthening and stretching exercises designed to improve muscle strength, posture, flexibility and balance.
Step and Sculpt: An energetic cardio and muscle toning workout using a step bench and various resistance tools with easy-to-follow choreography.
TurboKick® (NEW!): Combines kickboxing and dance moves and high-energy, motivating music. The ultimate cardiovascular challenge that's a unique blend of intense interval strength/endurance training. Ends with a relaxing cool down.
Yoga Flow: Flow from one yoga pose to the other for a total body sculpting and stretching workout.
Zumba®: Dance your way to fitness! Fusing Latin-inspired and other easy-to-follow movements, Zumba is a fun way to get fit!
Fitness Free-for-All
Celebrate the weekend early by attending a FREE Fitness Class open to ALL CNU students, faculty and staff! A fitness class pass is not required. A different class will be offered each Friday (e.g., yoga, Zumba®, kickboxing, Body Sculpt, TurboKick® and others). This site will be updated each week, and a campus email will announce which class will be offered.

BLT/ABS
Treat yourself to BLT and ABS for ultimate lower body and core toning! Buns, legs and thighs (BLT) uses equipment like body bars, resistance bands and stability balls to diversify and challenge your workout! ABS tones the core and back and finishes off with a relaxing stretch.Beginners are welcome, and a fitness class pass is not required, so come join us! Space is limited, so arrive early to get your spot!
