Accomplishments in the New Semester! Rebecca Twentey (Class of 2012) was chosen among the over 30,000 highly-qualified applicants for the Teach for America program. Teach for America is a program that aims to give all children access to a great education by pairing recent college graduates with schools in low-income communities. Rebecca has been paired with an elementary school in South Louisiana, where she will teach for the next two years. After that time, she hopes to join the Peace Corps. Rebecca is an English major and a communications minor. Kelsey Glomb (Class of 2014) distinguished herself among the brothers of the Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity by receiving the AEA Scholarship, an award for brothers who strive for the highest in all that they pursue. This year, only six of the over 6,000 brothers of Kappa Kappa Psi were chosen to receive this prestigious scholarship award. Kelsey is a political science major with a minor in American studies and a minor in civic engagement and social entrepreneurship. Excited about a recent accomplishment? Please contact Dr. Jay Paul, Director, CNU Honors Program, (757) 594-7072 or jpaul@cnu.edu, so that we may recognize your achievements!
