Enterprise Systems at CNU support the University's academic and administrative functions through the development, support, and maintenance of enterprise applications, communications tools, collaborative environments, and databases.
This unit is comprised of two groups:
- Application Development Group is involved in full life cycle application development. We develop primarily web based applications, using cutting edge technology that allows our customers to be able to more efficiently perform their duties. This group also develop interfaces, which allows disparate systems to communicate with each other.
- Database Administration Team is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, security, and repair of the university’s databases. These databases support University systems such as CNU Live, Scholar, Captain’s Card, and other custom applications developed by IT staff such as the employee time and leave system and residential housing lottery. Because these applications provide critical University services, the databases that support them must be designed and implemented so that they operate efficiently, are backed up and secured against data loss or theft, and maintained with the latest security patches and performance upgrades.
