Catch the CNU spirit by becoming a Marching Captain! We have positions available in all sections of the band, including brass, woodwinds, percussion and color guard. To become a member, you must audition during Setting Sail, CNU’s new student orientation. The auditions will be held in the Ferguson Center. The woodwind and brass auditions include the excerpt below from measure 9 to the end at quarter note = 120 or a selection of your choice. You will also need to demonstrate your overall range capabilities. Mellophones, baritones and tubas will be provided for the audition. (All links below are to PDF files.) Percussionists are required to play standard rudiments in addition to a prepared selection on snare drum. Traditional grip is required if auditioning for the snare line.
