to be a Marching Captain?

Time well spent.
The Marching Captains rehearse Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4-6 p.m. as well as Saturday mornings before home games. You are expected to attend all performances and rehearsals.

Earning college credit.
Yes! All members earn college credit. You must register for MUSC 112 for 1 credit each semester you are in the Marching Captains. Students who enroll for three semesters will meet the Creative Expressions Liberal Learning requirement for graduation.

A small additional investment.
All musicians must have black marching shoes, and wind players must have white gloves. Percussionists pay an annual stick fee of approximately $25. Guard members must purchase appropriate dance/marching shoes and fingerless guard gloves, as needed. Think of these expenses like purchasing books for class.
