5-Year Program with initial licensure (CNU Juniors only):

  • February 1 of Junior year

MAT with initial licensure and Initial Licensure programs:

  • October 15 for spring admission
  • January 15 for summer admission

You should:
  • Hold a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Submit a transcript printed from CNULive.
  • Have and submit passing scores on the Praxis I exam OR have SAT or ACT equivalent scores (SAT score of 11 or higher on math and reading, with at least 530 in each; ACT composite score of at least 24, with math score of at least 22 and English plus Reading score of at least 46) *Praxis I Test Tips.
  • Note: The application fee is waived for 5-year program applicants.




MAT / Initial Licensure applications are available online. New user will be prompted to create an account.
You should:
  • Have a 3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA (MAT with Licensure program) or a 2.8 cumulative GPA (Licensure-Only program).
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area from an accredited college or university.
  • Submit official transcripts of all coursework.
