This just in from Bradley Kraft, MAT cohort 2007:

I am (and have been for the past two years) a ninth grade World History teacher at Blacksburg High School in Montgomery County Public Schools (Southwest Virginia).  It has been exceptional teaching in this area and has given me a lot of opportunities to grow personally and professionally.  This past summer was very significant for me as I was a recipient of the Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction and was selected to be a part of a Fullbright-Hayes Curriculum Development Project month-long trip to China.  Since then, I have been contributing to what will, hopefully, be part of a new, national curriculum on teaching China here in the US.

Also:

Lindsey Pantele, MAT cohort 2010, was just named New Teacher of the Year at Glen Allen High School. Lindsey teaches English and coaches the girls' tennis team.

Annie Sabey, current student teacher at Menchville High School in Newport News wrote:

This is a local newspaper article about the class that I'm student teaching in! We've been teaching them about the current events in Egypt and on the day they came to take pictures and interview, we used our class set of iPads to have them find pictures, script a story, and create a video describing the events they had learned about! Chris Chappell, my cooperating teacher and I were so proud of how the kids responded to the news reporters and how they've actively reacted to the events in Egypt.  Below is the link to both the newspaper article and the news video!
