Parent Ambassadors assist the University with advancing its mission of students coming first.

Our Goal
The goal of the Parent Ambassadors is to enhance the student and family experience at Christopher Newport University. Ambassadors promote CNU within their communities and places of business, provide ongoing communication with university administration, and volunteer leadership at university events. Ambassadors enrich the lives of our students and the CNU community

Benefits of being a Parent Ambassador:

  • Ongoing communication with CNU administration
  • Quarterly e-newsletters with special updates on campus life, academic programs and CNU athletics
  • Special Family Weekend activities and events
  • Panel discussions with CNU's dean of students and chief of police
  • Exclusive workshops and information from CNU's Center for Career Planning

Ambassadors promote CNU by:

  • Serving as an advocate for CNU in their community and through on-campus activities
  • Supporting CNU's Parents Fund for Academic Excellence, which addresses the greatest needs of the University and our students
  • Identifying internships and career opportunities for CNU students
  • Attending fall and spring Ambassador workshops and meetings
  • Providing support to CNU at regional career fair events
