In compliance with the Higher Education Act of 1965 as amended by §23-9.2:11 of the Code of Virginia, the University has implemented a comprehensive emergency notification system, identified as “cnualert.” This system enables the prompt disclosure of information about crime on and near the campus that may pose an ongoing threat to the University community. University personnel may post flyers on the building doors of the affected community, and notice may also be posted electronically on the University’s emergency information web site, cnualert.info. A text message and an email can also be sent to all subscribers of the University’s text messaging system.
