Guaranteed Admissions Agreement

between Old Dominion University

School of Physical Therapy

and Christopher Newport University

Requirements

  • At least 50% of undergraduate courses and 80% of the prerequisite courses will be taken at Christopher Newport University.
  • The student will have an overall gpa of 3.5 or above, and a science gpa of 3.2 or above.
  • The science courses for this gpa will include: biology, anatomy & physiology (2 semesters with lab), physics (2 semesters with lab), and chemistry (2 semesters with lab).
  • The student will achieve a total score of at least 1000 on the GRE - Graduate Records Examination, with a verbal score of at least 420 and writing score of at least 4.
  • The student will have the recommendation of the Council for Health Professions Preparation (CHPP) and the Director of Pre-Health Programs (DPP).
  • The student will complete all other requirements of admission including volunteer hours and two additional recommendations, and will follow the normal application procedure.
