Mark Warner, U.S. Senator
Mark Warner was elected to the U.S. Senate in November 2008, and serves on the Senate's Banking, Budget, Commerce and Intelligence committees. After 2-1/2 years in Congress, Senator Warner has established himself as a national leader in efforts to find bipartisan, commonsense solutions to reduce the federal deficit.
Paul D. Koonce, Executive Vice President, Dominion Resources, Inc., Chief Executive Officer, Dominion Virginia Power
Paul D. Koonce is executive vice president of Dominion Resources, Inc. and chief executive officer of the company’s Dominion Virginia Power operating segment. He oversees Dominion’s regulated electric transmission, distribution and customer service operations that provide electricity to approximately 2.4 million customer accounts in Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. Koonce is also responsible for Dominion’s unregulated retail energy marketing operations.
Hon. G William Whitehurst, Professor and Retired Politician
G William Whitehurst served in the United States House of Representatives from the state of Virginia. He began his career as a professor at the Norfolk campus of the College of William and Mary, which became Old Dominion College in 1962. After serving as Dean of Students from 1963–1968, Whitehurst left academia for a nineteen-year stay in Congress. Upon retiring from politics, he returned to what was by then Old Dominion University, where he currently holds the chair of Kaufman Lecturer in Public Affairs.
