  • Gives you one place to manage and track funding of interest

Register

http://pivot.cos.com/register  New faculty can register here if they have not already done so.

The faculty member will gain access to PIVOT by indicating they are affiliated with Christopher Newport University. Faculty claim and update their profile, viewable by researchers around the world.  Profiles of potential collaborators and mentors are located within the profiles. Establish searches and save them. COS has developed an extensive ontology so that very specific searches are possible.

Accessing PIVOT - Faculty can access PIVOT one of two ways:

1)          IP Access

From any on-campus computer, a user can go right to http://pivot.cos.com.   Because your institution’s IP addresses will be recognized by PIVOT, one can start searching for funding or faculty profiles right away.

2)          Username and Password

Faculty can log in at http://pivot.cos.com with a PIVOT username and password anytime, anywhere. Logging in this way will take the user to his or her PIVOT homepage. From their homepage, they can manage active or tracked funding opportunities, saved searches, shared opps, etc., and start searching for funding or scholars. Username and password access is necessary when a) a user is off-campus, or b) when a user needs to save a funding record or funding search.
