What does my student need to bring if they are going to live on campus?
Of course, they'll want their laptop, their iPod — the "important stuff!" But there are a few other things that will make adjusting to their new "home away from home" a lot more comfortable - promise! Here's a list of things to bring prepared by our Residence Life office. And if you need a few more ideas, check out this list from collegeview.com to help you out.
Sheets for Your Bed - Many colleges and universities have extra-long beds in their residence halls that require specially sized sheets and bedding. Have your son or daughter check with their residence hall to see if their bed is greater than 76 inches long. If so, you'll need to check out some special linen lines.
Don't forget to send them off with a basic medicine and first aid kit (pdf). And keep in mind, unlike their previous 12 years of school, your student can keep medications with them in their residence hall. Discuss a plan with your student on how they will keep them secure. Also consider transferring their prescriptions to a local pharmacy. Visit the Student Clinic website and click on the "Local Clinics / Pharmacies" tab for more information.

While at CNU, your student will encounter many opportunities to become involved outside of the classroom. It is important that you, the parent, be educated about the enriching experience that your son or daughter will find by being involved in a fraternity or sorority at CNU.
We are very proud to have 14 recognized fraternities and sororities on the CNU campus. These values-based organizations have created a foundation of brotherhood / sisterhood, scholarship, community service / philanthropy, and character within the CNU community.
Approximately 12% of our undergraduate population are members of a fraternity or a sorority and that number is steadily growing. Our Greek students are active in numerous leadership roles across campus and donate their time and talents to assist those in need locally, regionally, and nationally through their community service and philanthropy efforts.
Each fraternity and sorority at CNU is unique but all offer members a connection with other CNU students and alumni through their brotherhood and sisterhood that continues long past the college experience.
By Council: Panhellenic Council | Interfraternity Council | National Pan-Hellenic Council
