Where can I find more information? Meet with the Study Abroad Coordinator. Please fill out this form or call the office to sign up for an appointment. Who can participate in study abroad? All qualified CNU students are encouraged to participate in study abroad, and may do so during a full academic year, a semester, or in a summer program. Summer studies abroad can run for as short a time as one week, or the entire summer break. Students also may participate in short-term study abroad programs during winter break or spring break. Is study abroad open to all majors? It is! Students of all majors participate in study abroad. It is a great opportunity for students of all academic disciplines. For example, biology students studying abroad in Australia can pursue studies along the Great Barrier Reef, while their peers in the field of sociology pursue studies of the indigenous peoples of the Australian outback. However, you are welcome to pursue study abroad opportunities outside of your major by fulfilling elective hours. Normally, students will study abroad sometime in their junior year, but that is not the rule. Some students choose to study abroad at a different time that fits with their plans. Many CNU Programs are open to all students, while non-CNU programs are available after the Freshmen year. The Study Abroad Office will advise each student according to his or her specific academic needs and concerns.
