Students entering the acting track undergo the challenging rigors of actor training and rehearsal to expand and extend their own expressive capabilities through performance. Opportunities to perform include mainstage plays and musicals, one-act festivals in the Studio Theater, student-directed scenes/one acts, and occasional roles at regional commercial venues.
| Grading
policy in studio courses emphasizes focused participation
and meaningful progress in conjunction with inherent talent
and acquired skill. Production and class critiques provide
an open forum to provide feedback and acknowledge strengths
and discoveries.
In addition to
satisfying all General Education, Interdisciplinary and
Theater Core requirements, the acting track requires:
