Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded by the faculty of the Department of Theater and Dance. Incoming freshman can compete for a scholarship on the Scholarship Audition Days. Many of these scholarships are made possible by the community auxiliary support network, the Theatre Guild.
The current available scholarships are:
- Robert L. Kelly Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is presented to a first-year CNU student who intends to concentrate in theater performance. The student demonstrates outstanding performance potential during the scholarship audition process. - John L. Allen, Jr. Scholarship
This scholarship is intended for a freshman or sophomore CNU student following the Design/ Tech concentration. The recipient exhibits dedication, reliability and a large capacity for developing theater artistry. - Theatre Guild Annual Scholarship
This scholarship is given to three upper class CNU students who have exhibited outstanding academic achievement, artistic promise and dedication to the Department of Theater and Dance. Frequently this scholarship follows the Robert L. Kelly Endowed Scholarship or the John L. Allen, Jr. Scholarship recipient throughout the student's matriculation provided that the student maintains academic and production excellence. - Alumni Society Endowed Theatre Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time CNU student majoring in Theater and Dance who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement and artistic promise. - Spurgeon Pollard Toney IV Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is presented to one or more full-time CNU upper-class students majoring in Theater and Dance who have proven dedication to academic excellence and professionalism in the Department of Theater and Dance.
