(NEWPORT NEWS, VA) – The Christopher Newport University Student Government Association (SGA) recently held campus-wide voting for their annual ‘Of-the-Year Awards.’ The SGA recognizes Dr. Robert Colvin as Faculty Member of the Year and Dean of Students Donna Eddleman as the Administrator of the Year.
Dr. Colvin is one of six nominees from the Department of Government and Public Affairs. Both recipients received the majority of votes in their respective category.
“This academic year 41 faculty members were nominated for Faculty of the Year,” wrote SGA President Melissa Bell. “The fact that so many students took the time to nominate a faculty member speaks volumes about the impact of our faculty on the students.” The nomination process includes a short essay explaining why the individual should receive the award.
