(NEWPORT NEWS, VA)–The York High Alumni Association, Inc. recently presented a check for $25,000 to endow a scholarship at CNU. The funds came from the “Golden Jubilee” reunion, which celebrated 50 years of classes at York High School.
“The establishment of this academic scholarship will be a perpetual reminder of the commitment that York High School alumni have made to our community by assisting with the education of a deserving York High grad,” said President of the York High Alumni Association Danny Peters.
The York High School Alumni Association established the scholarship with funds raised through the 50th reunion celebration. Students from York High School will have preference for the scholarship, which will be matched through a scholarship challenge gift to CNU.
For more information on the scholarship, please contact the Office of University Advancement at (757) 594-7179 or advance@cnu.edu.
