An op-ed piece is a feature in a newspaper that appears on the page opposite to the editorial page, hence the abbreviation "op-ed." The op-ed section normally consists of the opinions of named writers, unlike the editorial section which is normally an unattributed section written by the editorial staff of the newspaper. We can assist in writing and submitting op-ed pieces to local and national media. A timely, well-written and provocative op-ed piece can establish the writer as an expert on a particular topic and gain national media recognition for the author as well as CNU.
