The CNU Writing Center will offer the following free workshops this semester. During each session, an instructor will preview the concepts at hand, offer guided practice, then assist writers in applying what they've learned to their own writing. Workshop size is limited to 20 participants, and while reservations aren't necessary to attend, you may reserve your spot by calling the Writing Center at 594-7684 emailing us or stopping by Room 240 in the Trible Library. Bring your questions and your writing-we look forward to seeing you!

Writing Research Papers.
This session will cover strategies for finding, assessing, and filtering your research, organizing your ideas, and integrating your research with your ideas.

Argument Writing
Are you and your thesis not getting along? Does your modality unintentionally give you a superiority complex? Have you completely forgotten what modality is? From Toulmin to Rogerian, these sessions run the gamut on argument style and offer several strategies on how to get your point across effectively.

Need a little boost in your critique style? Come get the Writing Center's tips on structuring and developing a strong critique.

Documentation styles got you down? This session offers practice in the basics of MLA parenthetical documentation, as well as in constructing Works Cited entries for a variety of documents, including online sources.
