Explore six decades of vibrant abstraction in Paul Reed: A Retrospective, the first major museum exhibition dedicated to the seminal Washington Color School artist (1919–2015). Known for his bold experimentation with color, form, and light, Reed’s prolific career spanned painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art. This comprehensive survey traces his full artistic evolution, from his early 1950s graphic design work in New York to his groundbreaking 1960s abstract paintings and late-career aesthetic reinventions. 

In Magic Moments (Technology/Transformation Wonder Woman), artist Alex McQuilkin repurposes mass media footage of spinning women from fashion and perfume ads to critique how consumer culture shapes female identity. Blending dark humor, psychoanalysis, and sincere inquiry, the video interrogates media-driven standards of feminine youth, beauty, and happiness. McQuilkin, an Assistant Professor of Art at Binghamton University whose work has exhibited internationally since 2000, uses her multidisciplinary practice to challenge pervasive cultural norms.

Join President Kelly for his weekly walk around campus, starting at the plaza in front of the DSU. The walks are at a talking pace and offer an opportunity to meet old and new friends, or just stretch your legs before the day starts. In the event of bad weather, the walks are held indoors in the Freeman Center. Be sure to wear your CNU Blue!

The CNU Center for Career Planning is hosting an Alumni & Student networking event on the McKnight Veranda and Millar Celebration Hall at the Gregory P. Klich Alumni House! This event will encourage current students to learn about the career paths that CNU graduates have pursued, helping current students understand future possibilities and what different industries look like in practice. And alumni will be able to share the unique stories that led to their current success!

Hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served and business casual dress is encouraged. This event is open to all Alumni and current CNU students. While pre-registration is encouraged for planning purposes, drop-ins are always welcome!

The ultimate Friday night Homecoming festival! In this musical comic romp filled with unforgettable songs, the ever-charming Monty Navarro discovers that he is ninth in line to the Earldom of Highhurst. Desperately in love with Sibella, who is determined to only marry up, Monty jumps at the chance to change his penniless state, and, upon encountering his prejudiced relatives, Monty feels he may be able to move up the line with a little well placed…homicide. Featuring one actor playing the entire D’Ysquith family, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder was the winner of four Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Learn more and get your tickets.

Join CNU’s National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and Multicultural Alumni Chapter (MAC) in the SERC Courtyard for a lively Homecoming Pre-Game Social celebrating community, connection, and the Divine Nine! Current students, alumni, and friends are invited to gather before Midnight Madness for an evening of music, food, and good vibes. The event will bring together CNU’s Divine Nine fraternity and sorority chapters, NPHC student leaders, and members of MAC for an opportunity to reconnect and celebrate the CNU community.
